Join the Foundation of Practising Geographers
The Governing Body of the Foundation may admit any person of any caste, creed, or sex as a Member who has attained the age of 18 years and agrees in writing to be bound to abide by the Rules and Regulations of the Foundation and is interested in the advancement of the objectives of the Foundation. Please note that the power to admit new members is the sole and absolute discretion of the Managing Committee, which may refuse admission to any person without assigning any reason.
Any eligible person who has passed M.Sc/M.A. in Geography or any of its allied disciplines from a recognized University may apply for Honorary Life Membership on the prescribed Application Form. The Fee may be paid by Demand Draft (in the name of "Foundation of Practising Geographers", payable at Kolkata) or via E-banking.
Download Membership Form (PDF)The Managing Committee of the Foundation may select any distinguished academician from the field of Geography and its allied disciplines as an Honorary Member. Selected individuals are exempt from paying any subscription fee.
Any recognized State or Central Institution or University can become an Institutional Member of the Foundation.
Foundation's biannual peer-reviewed journal, Practising Geographer, can be subscribed by individual researchers or institutions at the following rates:
For obtaining the journal, Practising Geographer, individuals or institutions should apply 6 months in advance before the publication months (June / December). All inquiries regarding membership and subscriptions may be directed to:

The registered logo of the Foundation is the "Drifting Pangaea". It represents a continental mass submerged beneath shallow epicontinental seas and drifting due to differential gravitational forces.
