Foundation of Practising Geographers, formerly known as Indian Geographical Foundation, was established in the year 1993 by Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Dr. Ashoke Kumar Sen, and Professor Arabinda Biswas in Kolkata. FPG functions actively as a registered scientific body to foster geographical studies and research.
